On the 12th of March, Mallee Tabletop Games Inc trialed a new opportunity for its participants and it was an incredible success. With thirteen people arriving at the Woorinen South Community Hall to have a go at Magic: The Gathering.
What is Magic: The Gathering?
Magic: The Gathering is a strategic fantasy trading card game; where you play as a wizard otherwise known as a planes-walker who summons artifacts, spells and creatures to aid you in destroying other planes-walkers.
With the minimum total of eight games played on Tuesday, we were glad to see everyone having a go! There were four games of standard edition and four of commander edition, with games being played with a combination of player owned and community decks!
With the promise of a #MTGincMagicNight to be held once a month we hope to see more new and experienced players come forth.
We’d also like to thank everyone that did come and share a fun night with us; as well as those who helped coach new players the basics of Magic.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next Magic night, the SECOND TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH.
